Immediate Release: Tonawanda, NY September 20,2005
Mike
Stawicki's new G-Force Race Cars Inc. built 1967 Camaro, with
sponsorship from Darren Mayer Performance Engineering, will
be
ready to make a
great showing at this year's Torco Race Fuels President's Cup in
Budds
Creek, Maryland September 23-25.
Stawicki fresh off an impressive win at the PMRA event in Toronto,
where he
dominated with a string of low 6.20 runs, is excited to run the
car once
again. He says, "We should be able to run well this weekend
at Budds Creek.
I know that this is a good car. We had some trouble with the
engine at
Norwalk and it really showed in our performance. I've got everything
back to where
it should be and hopefully it will perform like I know it can.
I'm
determined to get a national event win. I think we are more capable
now than we ever have been before. We will try our hardest to get
the job done. I
just want to thank Jim Salemi (G-Force Race Cars Inc.), Ted Arts,
and Darren Mayer
(DMPE Inc) for all of their help. Without these guys this would
only
be a dream".
Stawicki and crew chief Jim Salemi have been relentlessly pursuing
their
elusive first win since the early 1990's. Crew Chief Jim Salemi
stated, "I'm confident
that we can be a force in the class. We need to show our true
colors. I know this car can run with the best in the class. Now
we just have to
prove it. The ball is in our court, now we just need to slam it".
All of
the action gets underway on September 23 @ 7:00 PM. Stay tuned
for the
results.
