| Last
weekend saw Joe Boniferro and his super competitive Smokin’
Joe’s Racing Dodge Avenger front and center at the CarFixWORLD
show in Toronto. The event is a showcase for the Canadian automotive
trade and aftermarket communities. Friday was career day and the
many students that attended were in awe of the 2200 horsepower
Pro Modified Avenger sitting just across from the show entrance.
Many stopped by and posed for class photos in front of the PMRA
Championship leading racecar. Boniferro was kept busy signing
Hero Cards all day long, the scheduled autograph sessions scrapped
due to the great demand.
Come Sunday night Boniferro
had this to say “This has been a great event for us, the
interest from the students on Friday was amazing, I am sure we
have created many fans that will show up at future PMRA events.
It was great to showcase our trade sponsors and we answered many
questions about Mickey Thompson Tires, NGK Spark Plugs and Pennzoil
over the weekend. It was great to be able to showcase our own
racing program and tell people about the local tracks and series
like the PMRA. Exposure to the Canadian trade can only benefit
drag racing in Canada, I am glad we did this.”
“We are currently
in negotiations to attend this show in 2007 and with even more
time available to us, we will be able to have a more encompassing
presentation available to the attendees. I think CarFixWORLD can
become the Canadian version of SEMA or APEX and we want to be
a part of it.”
