Tech Talk with Camp Stanley
Hi, I have a Chevy 509 with a 8-71 blower spinning at 20 psi. I am looking for heads and found that AFR have a 357cc CNC ported head and flows 425cfm. for $ 2940,- Also the CNC ported dart 355cc head from Reher Morrison for $3095,- looks interesting. Which one is the better choice for me?

Robert,
Thanks for the inquiry at Heads Up Racer.com. I have always preferred the Dart 320's. I have several pairs still running good numbers in New Zealand after 5-6 years, not counting the ones we have played with here in the States. I had a car I was helping (67 Camaro) that ran the Super Chevy series that ran 7.6's with an 8-71. This car weighed 3000lbs and used a powerglide! Be sure that you opt for the severe duty Manley stainless valves, as the stock stainless ones that Dart uses will tulip in your operation if you lean on it very hard. I am not so sure of your pricing with Dart direct, but you may want to email them at: Darttech@dartheads.com. There website is: http://www.dartheads.com/. Happy surfing!

Regards
Camp Stanley
