Rowe Makes His Mark at Summit Classic XXXI!
Popping the chutes!New Boston, MI - For immediate release - Bill Rowe was full of expectations when he headed to Norwalk Raceway Park for his first ever Halloween Classic. Testing on the Sunday prior to the event had given the New Boston, MI based team more info to add to their data bank in preparation for the upcoming event. The team was then thrown a slight curve ball when the race officials had to cancel Friday’s qualifying session due to severe rainstorms. The call was also made to change the format to eighth mile racing as wind gusts over 55 miles per hour were reported. Rowe was one of the first cars to take to the track in Saturday’s qualifying and ran a 4.37 which put him in the eleventh spot on the inside looking in. Crew chief Dyno Dave took the Born to run!additional data and made some severe tune-up changes before heading back to the staging lanes ready to make some noise. It was a noise that was heard all around Norwalk Raceway Park, Rowe went on a picture perfect run and uncorked a 4.22 to sit just behind pole sitter Joe Boniferro’s 4.20. This pass had the Raging-Eagle.com team sitting firmly in the Frantic 4 field and happy with their best pass of the season. The ladder pitched Rowe against Brandon Anderson wheeling Jerry Ransford’s nitrous equipped ’63 Vette. With the track condition going away slightly in the evening Rowe had to abort the pass and hand the win to the nitrous car.
The personal best weekend was not over for Rowe. On Sunday in the second round of the Moser Top Gun Shootout he amazed all onlookers with what turned out to be the quickest pass of the week’s activities by a doorslammer. Rowe commented, “We really don’t have a lot of data for this car and Dyno Dave does not have a lot to go on for a tune-up but he got after it today and the 4.18 was proof we are on the right track. I can’t thank everyone enough for all their support in getting us to this point. It is almost a shame this is the last event of the year. To qualify number two, run an eighteen and be quicker than the likes of Moran and Boniferro is amazing, it makes my season!”

No more Mister Nice Guy!Bill and Marsha Rowe would like to thank the following people for their support in 2004, Bob Saks Motor Mall, DuPont Custom Coatings, HeadsUpRacer.com Dyno Dave and all at Dyno Dave Motorsports. The latest news can be found on the teams website at Raging-Eagle.com
