Kenny fired the first shot in Bella Rose LA by setting the ET and MPH records for the class at 6.914 and 200.17 and then winning the race against the 2004 World Champion Randy Jewell all with a 632 ci engine and a single system of nitrous and a Powerglide!

Then to top things off Farrell’s team arrives at Atlanta Dragway with guns blazing! Number one qualifier 6.843 and 201.16 another record! and again the win in the final round against the King Ronnie Davis. “I planned this assault early on last year when we ran the race in Michigan, I lost to Jerry Albert and I decided this wouldn’t happen again I would not allow a single carb motor to get me again and I can’t wait for a rematch with Jerry Albert."

Finally someone has come up with a class for Top Sportsman guys to race Heads Up for great money , publicity and respect. These cars are the stepping stone for Pro Modified and more recognition needs to be given to these fine teams trying to further the sport and to run a real fast door car with a powerglide. The NSCA has done just that. A typical Top Sportsman car can run this class in normal IHRA or NHRA form you don’t need mufflers or lights or DOT tires just show up, shut up and race!
