Niagara Falls, ON - For immediate release - Niagara Fall’s, ON racer Joe Boniferro is already a repeat winner of Norwalk Raceway Park’s Halloween Classic Frantic 4 event sponsored by G-Force Racecars and Oddy’s Performance. This past weekend he started another streak by again winning the Pro Mod event that is part of Toronto Motorsports Park’s Jet Warz extravaganza.

Boniferro had qualified number one with a 6.51-second pass on a tricky TMP track that saw lots of tire shake from the likes of Kasey Janzen and Mike Stawicki. The Koffel’s Place supported team decided to sit out the delayed second round of qualifying that was held on Sunday morning and were delighted when nobody relieved them of their pole position. . Considering Pro Mod stand out Al Billes was testing at the event and was also having trouble getting down the track, the Boniferro team were happy to be sitting at the top of the timesheets.

That set the Smokin’ Joe’s Racing team up for a rematch with Mike Stawicki. Stawicki won the encounter earlier in 2004 and Boniferro was determined to reverse the result. Both racers shook the tires heavily on the run with Boniferro recovering the best with a 6.967 to a shutoff 12.757 from Stawicki and the G-Force Racecars ’63 Vette.

With the Boniferro team struggling somewhat with the lack of clutch data Boniferro was glad to see second round opponent Larry Sinke not make the call. Boniferro punched out an eighth-mile squirt to get enough data for the final round. Facing off against Boniferro would be ex Canadian Pro Mod Champion and many time IHRA Quick 8 winner Kasey Janzen. A Boniferro / Janzen match up guaranteed having the fans on their feet as it is a rivalry that goes back for years. On this day Boniferro was not to be denied! He took a starting line advantage and powered to a 6.66 pass for the win two years running.
